Dear Farmin Stidwell Families,

    As we move into March, and the playground becomes a giant mud fest, 😀 students are looking forward to warmer weather and all that spring will bring. We have four solid weeks of instruction before spring break, and we are using those weeks to really solidify interventions and enrichment before we begin ISAT testing (end of April and first week of May). Our data is improving daily, and we are nearing 75% reading proficiency in grades K-3! 

    In March we will participate in Read Across America week, with our Crazy for Reading dress up days, book swap, and door decorating contest. We also will bring back March Madness for Attendance, where we track the percentage of students at school, and randomly compete in a friendly class vs. class competition. You can see the leaderboard in our lobby and in the weekly Wolf Headlines. There will be prizes (extra recess, bonus PE, party with the principals) throughout the month for the winning classes in each round. 

   I invite you to join us at McStaff night, where the Farmin Stidwell crew will take over the Ponderay McDonald's and serve the community, March 19th from 5-7pm. This event is always a great time, and our local McDonald's donates a portion of the sales back to our school. We use those funds for field trips and assemblies, and to put on a STEM day for all students. Please also see the information sent out by the district regarding the upcoming Safety Summit -- March 18 at Sandpoint High School.
