Dear Farmin Stidwell Families,
February is filled with celebration as we reflect on the incredible progress our students are making. I am proud to share that Farmin Stidwell has achieved some of the highest MAP growth and overall achievement in both ELA and math that we have seen in years — a testament to the hard work of our students and the unwavering commitment of our staff to every single learner.
Students are also enjoying a unique hands-on science experience through our partnership with Idaho Fish and Game. Thanks to Mr. Kerrigan, our Outdoor Education teacher, classrooms are participating in hatching Kokanee, helping students connect learning to the natural world while fostering curiosity and stewardship.
As we move toward spring, our team is preparing students for ISAT testing in April while continuing to prioritize a love of reading for pleasure. Encouraging reading at home remains one of the most powerful ways to support your child’s growth.
Please remember there is no school on February 13th and 16th.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for supporting the important work happening inside our classrooms. I am deeply grateful for our dedicated staff, whose passion and commitment help make Farmin Stidwell a place where students thrive.
Warmly,
Dr. Betsy Dalessio
Principal, Farmin Stidwell Elementary School
