April 2024

From the Principal

The final quarter of the school year brings a lot of activity and our testing season. State-mandated ISAT testing will begin April 22nd. You will see a letter come home from our team with the schedule as well as tips for success for those in grades 3-6 as they navigate ISATS. Our K-3 students will take the Idaho Reading Indicator, known as Istation, in May. We know you will help students get a good night's rest and a healthy breakfast when testing days arrive.

The annual Farmin Stidwell Jogging Club kicks off next week and runs (pun intended) for six weeks -- April 15- May 24. We would love to have family volunteers to help scan laps each morning before school. The sign up sheet is in our weekly Wolf Headlines for Families and our monthly newsletter (sent out the first Friday of the month).

One of my favorite events is also approaching -- staff appreciation week. We will celebrate each and every staff member and their contribution to Farmin Stidwell during the first week of May. In collaboration with our Partners in Education group, we provide breakfast, lunch and snacks for staff throughout the week, as well as other fun activities to show our appreciation. A sign up for families to help with breakfast items is forthcoming.

I am excited for warmer weather, more outdoor learning, and the opportunity for our students to show what they have learned throughout the year. We will have many opportunities for families to volunteer and participate in school events in the 4th quarter (jogging club, McTeacher Night, field day, talent show, staff appreciation and more).

Thank you for supporting our school,

Dr. Betsy Dalessio, Principal
